Going to stay with friend who have the above - and want to take a little something (£10 each?) for the kids. Any suggestions welcome, thanks!

Boy - something football related.
Girl - a gluing and sticking kit.
Both from woolworths

Like the idea of something crafty - do 7 year old boys do that type of thing too? Too young for Airfix kits?

I think airfix is a bit tricky, but yes, I don't see why not. 7 year old boys that I look after certainly like to make things. If you've got a Hobby craft near you, you'll find tons of stuff there to chose from.

Paint-your-own-mug set - M&S do (or have done, haven't looked recently) them. Comes with two mugs, so they can each do one. Nice lasting present.

(So long as your friend is OK with things like pottery painting happening in her house.)

My kids are that age/gender!!!
They both love crafty things, games, music, books and pyjamas!!
DS - bionicles
cars!!!
games
models (the gluing sticking kind!!!)
DD Hair stuff
clothes (!)
Littlest Pet Shop

I think something crafty is probably a very safe bet though
Good Luck!!
