wooden kitchen floors?

are they practical...do they scratch, warp, dent loads - or do people recommend tiles for ease of cleaning?

i've got quickstep laminate flooring in mine and it looks great and has been fine, would recommend it

We have solid wood flooring now. It must be about 15 years old but has worn well if a little stripped of varnish in places , presumably from spills and the odd dent. Easy to sweep over and lightly mop. Tiles are less forgiving on dropped crockery imho and are best with underfloor heating.
