want to get some decent blinds for the bedrooms, pref. blackout. anyone used a good quality, reliable company, eg hilary's?

we are cheapskates and cut Argos ones to fit

We used Hillary's for bedroom black-out blinds, purely because I didn't have standard sized windows. I wouldn't imagine that they are any better than Mrs B's choice because they still let light in round the sides. I am moving to a new build in September and will be buying them from Argos or the like.

(get sticky velcro - stick hooky bit to window frame and soft bit to blind. Pull down blind, press at edges)

We got argos too, they do a few colours now. Had one up for 4 yrs, daily use, no probs.

I know a lady wh made me one out of the fabric of my choice a gorgeous roman blind, top grade blackout and it was a bargain. way cheaper than any quotes from hilarys and john lewis.
let me know and I can get you her email address and she can quote for you
