the magnetic thing any good?

Thinking it would fit on my boiler in the kitchen - high enough for DS not to play with the magnets.

Are they any good?? I know I've seen oodles of threads about the diaries.

it looks as though it will be good, so loong as you don't lose magnets or write on it in permanent marker by mistake. we would so it is not for me.

If you're going to get one, ask Hunker or Cod for a link, they get money back which they pass onto less well off Mumsnetters/

I'm getting the diary in September, am quite excited actually. Which shows the levels to which I've sunk

I'm tempted! We have a family diary but I forget to look in it. The only thing is, it would have to go on the fridge and the DSs can reach that.

Flamesparrow · 05/07/2007 08:54

Yup, was thinking Cod had something to do with it.

I pondered the diary, but I get one every year - fill it until March, then forget and lose it

I have the small diary that goes in my handbag, I have everything written in it and there is space for meals each day, to do list and a shopping list each week.

My problem with the magnetic thing is you have to wipe off each month an start again, I have an on going calendar with a column for each person so we can write in thigs ahead. Its a cheap office type one with no silly pics and lots of space.

Skribble · 05/07/2007 22:32

Can I just add I bought it because it was reduced (the diary) not not because I was making any attempt to be orgainised, but it does help .

HelenLoveJoyOfSpringfield · 05/07/2007 22:37

Oohh the diary.. does it begin in September???

I Need one that starts in Spetember & goes through the year like that. I had one last term [uni student so this works well] but this year the shop never got them in again

Skribble · 05/07/2007 23:02

Hmmm... good point about me needing to plan more than a week in advance... but then I do tend to put most things in outlook - this is more so that we can see easily what is happening for the week.

I think my best bet would be... a small diary in my bag to write doctor's appointments etc when i get them (always telling any planning with friends that it might need to change), everything stored on outlook, and then on a Sunday night put the week's events on the boiler.
