Ergonomic office chair

Can anyone recommend an ergonomic office chair they use at home or at work? We need one ASAP, mainly for my husband to use as he has started to work from home. We both have back pain and I have RSI so need good support all round. Thank you

I have a Flokk at work but very very pricey! Everyone else has 'standard' ergonomic chair and that person who came to set up my Flokk told me that the other chairs, whilst technically ergonomic, weren't actually properly supportive for most people. So....i would advise going somewhere and trying the chairs out rather than buying online and making an expensive mistake of building the chair (chairs come boxed) and then trying to return because it's not suitable - not sure they'd accept it back as it won't be in its original packaging....

Ikea have a range of office chairs, arm rests and a high back is probably what youd be looking for

Thank you both.

Can I ask where you bought the flokk from? I'm looking online and can only see a website with no prices for the Norwegian company.

If you are in the south, I'd recommend getting in touch with these guys

www.backinaction.co.uk

I had a Haag chair from them for 30 years which was fab. I've got a fancy one at work with head support and coxlyx support which I love. Sometimes I think I only go to work because I love my chair so much. I think I'm sad!!!Smile

The ikea markus is well known for being one of the best and comfiest on the market - my partner works from home quite often and sometimes plays computer games so got one and it is literally the comfiest chair we own - even more so than the sofa and the reclining armchair!

What features do you need? Seat tilt or just raise? Inflatable lumbar support? How high? Neck rest? No such thing as good all round support when it comes to chairs really.
Is your DH employed? They should provide a DSE assessment as part of their risk assesments and any equipment needed. Work buy our chairs for us.

Have a look here www.posturite.co.uk/ergonomic-chairs/ergonomic-office-chairs.html mine is an RH logic. Posturite came out as part of my DSE assessment and they organised my chair (I see you can book them in for services too via the website). As Juniper mentions, it's not a case of one size fits all.
