Non alcoholic drink in a pub

Can anyone recommend a non alcoholic drink I can have when I go out? Something I'd easily find in a pub. I'm getting fed up of sparkling water or juice. Is there anything more interesting?

Sorry, I know this is a very un mumsnet topic, but I tend not to drink alcohol much these days.

Lots of pubs have alcohol free beers which I like. In the absence of that I’ve had tonic water.

I have soda water and lime. Often cheap as chips and has a nice bite to it.

A bitter lemon is a nice, old school change!

Some pubs here do alcohol free wines and beers. I tend to drink lime and soda or dry ginger (not ginger beer but the mixer) because they are not very sweet. Some also sell the more tradition cloudy lemonades/cream soda/root beer.

Virgin Mary, tomato juice, celery salt, Tabasco, Lee & Perrins.

If the pub serves it try "seedlip" with a tonic - it is a non alcoholic botanical drink a bit like gin.

hugoagogo · 01/02/2019 19:55

Ginger beer is nice and available most places.
At lunch time if I find myself in a pub I have a tea Grin

I like a posh Tonic with ice and citrus slices.

Also good for deflecting the ‚‘ooooh why aren’t you drinking’ wankers as it is impossible to distinguish from a g&t

Bitter lemon and orange juice (St Clements). Light tonic water with lots of ice and lime.

There is suddenly a lot more choice if they sell posh flavoured tonic waters.

I did not like seedlip - it tasted to much like dill to me.

I like appletizer. It's fresh without being sticky sweet like J20

Some great ideas here. Thanks! So good to be able to avoid the sugary stuff. Tried my first non alcoholic beer tonight & pleasantly surprised.

Non-alcoholic beers have improved enormously. My current favourite is Brewdog Nanny State, and I also quite like Erdinger Alkoholfrei which is marketed as an isotonic sports drink in German-speaking countries.

Zwischenwasser · 02/02/2019 15:48

Jsmith. I got given a (plastic) glass of that when I finished a 20k race. It felt really to be drinking ‚‘beer‘ after a run.

I like a cranberry juice with lemonade and soda which is also nice with vodka in

FromDespairToHere · 02/02/2019 16:02

Lemonade or soda. Both would be a bit yuck.

WaxOnFeckOff · 02/02/2019 16:02

I like an alcohol free cider rather than a beer. Very refreshing.

Fever tree aromatic tonic water is incredibly delicious - even without the gin! (Not sure of many places stock it though)
