What car seat have you got in your Ford Focus?

Desperately trying to avoid wasting £s on an internet purchase which may not fit in our car. We've got a 2001 Ford Focus Estate. Any recommendations of what to get or what not to get? We need a combination seat by the way as our little one is too long for her 1st seat but only just over 6kg / 14lb 9oz. Thank you.

I've got a 1999 S reg Ford Focus hatchback and a Britax First Class car seat for my DD. She sits behind the front passenger seat and I must say that the fit is very secure, much more so than when the seat is fitted in my DH's Mercedes C Class Estate (which is an 03 reg). I'd recommend the First Class as it is also suitable from birth (0-4 yrs), so it reclines and can go forward or rear facing. We still get a lot of use out of the recline feature and our DD turned 2 on August 8th ! Big thumbs up for the Britax First Class !

I've got an X reg focus estate, think it must be 2002 & we use a bebe comfort one, not sure of the exact make but can check tomorrow if you need me too. I'm really happy with our seat & it's also a great fit.

We have a britax rennaisance in our focus estate - very easy to install, very comfy for baby.
We got ours from kiddicare.com, it is an old style cover, so worked out £30 cheaper - bargain!

Thanks for all the top tips. Have finally taken the plunge and ordered a new seat - eagerly awaiting delivery. Thanks again!
