Car insurance for 2 cars - is it double?

Hi just wondering if insurance is generally double if you have two standard cars (not sports cars) or if there isn't a significant hike?

You usually get a multi product discount with most big insurers.

Having access to two cars also lowers your premium by a bit, even if it's not multi car insurance.

It really does depend, bear in mind that you can only use your NCD on one car. Some insurers may mirror it for a second car others may not. Potentially the second car can cost significantly more to insure than the first.
