Mothercare Fire Guards

Anyone know if the Mothercare fire guard is any good? Really we want it to surround a marble fireplace and stop our 1 year old crashing into it... I see that BabyDan do one (has a gate and is much more fancy). Just wondering if it's worth the extra money - a lot more at 60-70 pounds. If anyone has a mothercare one and can recommend it I'd love to know.

No problem with ours.

Does it stay put if your little one knocks into it? Our DS is at that crashing about into everything stage

Thanks LIZS. We stupidly haven't sorted one and I'm running after our DS like some sort of crazed chicken when he goes near the marble. Alarming for me, and probably rather crazy looking for him!

Can remember which we had tbh, think it was like the shaped one. BabyDan make a lot of the Mothercare guards and gates anyway. If you don't need a fancy one we found ours fine but you do need to fix it to the wall either side of the fireplace though with screw-in eyelets and it just unclips for access. ds could pull himself up on it.

ta LIZS - it sounds like it will be fine for what we need it for. I shall order it pronto and put an end to the chicken dance.
