quick before my laptop dies!! How much to get it fixed?

Today the charger part of the laptop has broken, not the actual charger and the battery is fine (took the whole thing to DB's to work out what was wrong using his charger and laptop) but the bit that actually you plug the power lead into on the laptop. How much am I looking at to get it fitted?? I only have a few minutes left on my battery (thanks to DB, charging it on his laptop)

They do pay out, we had to pay excess though which was a pain and with ours it was a like for like replacement which meant that I had to get a laptop of the same spec even though for the money it cost I could have bought a better spec one and shopped around a bit. Check your insurance policy and give them a ring explaining that you would have just got it repaired but it's unrepairable so you unfortunately have to claim on the insurance.
