Night light for back of car

Anyone come across a night light that could be used in the back of a car, and not distract the driver?
My baby cries like mad when driving in the dark and no streetlights, when I turn on the overhead light in the back on, he cheers up again - but that's quite distracting and not very safe! There must be something or a light up toy perhaps? Anyone come across something?

Could you use a book light clipped onto the back of the seat somehow? I wouldn’t think that would be bright enough to affect your sight in the dark if angled towards the back seats.
