Servicing

Thinking of buying a new Audi. There’s a local dealership so easy to get there in terms of buying. However, the local official Audi service place is miles away which is always such a pain. Is it ok to use a local garage instead, as long as they use the correct parts?

If you're buying a car from a main dealer, most will come to your home or work to collect your car for servicing and drop it back later that day .

You’ve got a local dealership which does sales but not servicing right? Seems a little strange but yes you don’t have to have it serviced by Audi but it will need to be serviced to their specification using genuine parts if you want to keep the warranty intact, however you can forget any goodwill after the warranty expires and you’ll reduce the resale value of the car.

Thanks. Useful to know. Will make sure they use proper Audi parts.
