Descaling instructions for Avent steam steriliser?

I have the steriliser but no longer have the book.
I've bought some citric acid but don't know how much to use or remember exactly what to do. Does anyone have their instructions? Thanks.

just feeding bean, will have a look in a sec

mix 10g of citric acid with 200ml water and pour into unit
switch on for 1-2mins with lid off
switch off on leave for 30mins
drain and rinse
after descaling run a full cycle with lid on, but the unit empty using the correct amount of water.

hope that helps

Mumsnet is sent by God or this is just an incrdible coincedence...I was just logging on to ask this exact same question. Sponge - are you and I twins separated at birth?
Thanks beansmum - 2 for the price of one!

We may well be Tommy. I've always felt there was something missing .
Or perhaps we have twin sterilisers .

Do you think if we got them together they'd find that they were really similar in a spooky sort of way - both wanting to fling their lids off when there's obviously too much stuff in them etc? Could be whole new thread....or maybe not
