Net-a-porter has just been very nice to me so I think you should all shop there

I bought a lovely dress off the site last week. Sale started today - noticed it was £100 off! Sent them an email saying "Aurgh, I've just bought it full price, is there anything you can do?" They replied within an hour saying "Of course! Have a store credit for the difference! Enjoy!"

I LOVE them. Now I'm going to buy some reduced price jeans. HOORAH!

happy shopping everyone

I'm at work, hence the slightly more boring look! I do love yours, though. Just wasn't right for me. I'm a bit wary of becoming mutton dressed as lamb these days. After all, 'tis only 2 years until I hit the big 4 0.

What do you recommend for oompa-loompa proportioned mners? Apart from a potato sack I mean

Iklboo · 27/06/2007 13:53

Oh - and I'm not being sarky - I really mean it. What's flattering for the shorter lady?

hoxtonchick · 27/06/2007 13:53

that's a lovely dress gg!

I am trying to picture that waist making exercise cod - are your hands at your side?

also, unless I bend over, my hands don't reach my knees

I tried the crunches Minty - did nowt for my waist - can just do lots of crunches!

oh do you think it is young???

I was worried it was a bit OLD looking! SLIGHTLY reminds me of something Pammy from Dallas might have worn. With a big chunky gold necklace and spidery eyelashes.

Ah well I'm 38 too so perhaps I'll look like Mutton Dressed as Lamb rather than Sheep dressed as Mutton

I'm too busy working to earn pennies to spend on fancy dresses therefore absolutely NO time for excercise, Cod!

Oh, and thanks, Iklboo. I am a cross between an oompaloompah and a teletubby myself and strangely I think wrap dresses look quite nice. No good asking me for style advice, though - I'm hopeless. I know what I like, but things never look quite how I'd pictured them once I get them on ... possibly because I'm not 6ft tall and 6 stone.

GameGirly · 27/06/2007 14:06

Minty, it is a FAB dress and I'm sure you look amazing in it. As I said, I was tempted, but it just wasn't "me". I'm sure you look exactly like a little fluffy lamb, no hint of sheep or mutton whatsoever! To be honest, I couldn't wear something like that for work and I wouldn't spend that much on something I couldn't get huge amounts of wear out of.

MintyDixCharrington · 27/06/2007 14:08

well I shall be partying in it at 2 parties next week (one in london, one in country, no overlap ) and I'm sure it will get regular outings thereafter. Now, shoes.....
