Yes. Have had ours 2 years and really love it (when we get the chance to listen to music, that is ).

Tutter · 24/06/2007 16:49

is it good enough to act as the main music system in your house, or do you still need separate speakers (around a room) for thjat?

It is the only one we have in our house now and we find it great. Considering it is one speaker, the sound really reaches round the room (IYSWIM?) and we have never had any need for separate speakers.

yes, fab, fill the room with sound, and we have big high ceilinged rooms.....would highly recommend

Tutter · 24/06/2007 16:56

ooh good, thanks both

do you know if it works with the ipod nano?

lulumama · 24/06/2007 17:43

don;t know, we just use the regular iPod in it....

bagpuss · 24/06/2007 19:28

FIL has a nano and black sound dock which looks very smart. dh says there is a list on the apple store website of all the compatible models - the second generation nanos are not compatible though.

The docks are great - I've just bought one. The sound is amazing.

poppy34 · 24/06/2007 20:07

yes- have had some for a while. they're fab -great sound and really well made

poppy34 · 24/06/2007 20:07

btw bagpuss - think that most kinds of ipods are compatible -we've got new and old style ipods and both work fine.

bagpuss · 24/06/2007 20:15

Yes Poppy so have we (although the video ipod doesn't fit the dock quite as well). Tutter specifically asked about the nano and that is what apple's online store recommend .

They're fantastic!! Great sound etc, but also very portable and come with a bag - very easy to take away for a weekend (we took ours on a self-catering holiday and it was great). I think they are compatible with nanos, but i'm not an expert - don't know about different nano models etc.
