Has anyone bought a car that's previously been in an accident ?
I'm looking at a car that's a really good price and low mileage but it's cat N ?
Is it a really bad idea to buy it ?

N is non structural damage. I would.

Cat N is cosmetic damage. I drove a car that was a cat N (someone hit in when it was parked and left a big scuff in it), and due to the fact the car was old it wasn't economical to repair. But the car was perfectly safe to drive even if it wasn't particularly attractive, and I used it until it finally died a natural death after it's engine failed.

Bear in mind as a Cat N it will have really poor re-sale appeal, so it's best to only buy it if you plan on being it's last owner.
