Can DS be too tall for his car seat?

DS who is 2.5 is in a Britax First Class Si and whilst is well within the correct weight range, however the top of his head is now level with the top of the seat. Does this mean that I should get him a new car seat?? I thought it would last til he's 4!!

Think it is when his ears are above the top, not just head in line so you should have a few inches yet.

as understand it as when they eyes are above the top...

i suppose eyes and ears are at the sameish level anyway!

my ds was out of his before he was 3, i had to get one of the booster seat with back and harness combos for him instead

ds has a really long body and is always doing this.

As others say I think it is okay until their ears/eyes are at the top of the back of the seat.

Tis really annoying though.
