Lol, Coddie! I got my catalogue yesterday and was so excited by its delights that I couldn't get to sleep last night until 3.30am! I simply must have the packet of bungee cords, a glowmat, the bottle crusher, brolly bags (even though I never use a brolly), the chimney cleaning log (sounds like FUN!) and maybe the Shoe Mouse. Do you think it really works??

I assume you will be making a mass purchase of Cape Cod metal polishing clothes?? Btw, the dog on page 34 is an exact replica of our daft mutt.

roisin · 27/08/2004 15:57

What page is the shoe mouse on? I didn't notice that one when I went through it.

CountessDracula · 27/08/2004 15:58

Can we have links to some new useful things [pls I need a good larf

roisin · 27/08/2004 15:58

I really want a packet of bungee cords ... but I can't think of a reasonable excuse of what I could actually use them for

suedonim · 27/08/2004 16:17

The Shoe mouse is on page 3. I have no purpose for bungee cords, either - I just want them, Roisin. Once we had them, we'd find them indispensible, I know. But apparently, they're out of stock atm.

Here's the Glowmat and the bottle crusher , brolly bags , chimney log . I forgot to add the dishwasher loops to my wish-list! (And do you know how long it's taken me to type all those links??)

I am going to have to get the pill organizer for all the medication I will need when I get fired because I keep logging onto Mumsnet when I am supposed to be working.

CountessDracula · 27/08/2004 16:56

I must say my glasses don't fall over in the dishwasher, the brolly bag is just a plastic bag with brolly bag written on it and as for the bottle crusher...if you just keep your bottles and when you boil the kettle pour alittle boiling water into each and swill it round, they soften and you can crush them yourself and screw the lid back on.

Honestly, how do these people make their money?

And what is a bungee cord?

CountessDracula · 27/08/2004 16:57

Yorkiegirl I was in Harrogate the last 2 days and saw the shop, got disproportionately excited but of course like all shops in the country it closed at 5.30 when I was working so didn't get to go :(

I bought the bungee cords . But, in my defence, we have to bring all our shopping up from the car-park which is under the building beside ours so it's quite a walk and I have a trolly for the heavy stuff (washing powder and drinks etc), but the bags tend to fall off.

What I really need is a couple of young, strong footmen, but bungee cords will just have to do.

notthecod · 27/08/2004 17:02

do think that the new bottle storgae theing for the fridge looks good for the wallop beer fridege

sunchowder · 27/08/2004 17:04

I have the flan tins, the stainless wisk, ceramic baking beans (along with a pair of stanless steel beeds like necklace that I like even more!)disposable icing bags, mini sifter for powdered sugar (mary berry?), huge spatuala for taking large cakes and pizza out of the oven (the easy lifter with extended handle),plastic roaster bags, pampered chef version of pot scrapers, strawberry huller and various wooden spoons...That's just in the popular demand section. I have an illness that I fight continually that forces me to purchase things for my home and kitchen.

notthecod · 27/08/2004 17:08

do the smoked bag fish thing s work?

OP posts:
sunchowder · 27/08/2004 17:12

sunchowder · 27/08/2004 17:17

Sunchowder is there a name for your condition? Compulsive Gastronomic Accessory Disorder perhaps?

suedonim · 27/08/2004 17:28

Yes, yes, we know all that about boiling water etc, CD, just don't go spoil our Lakeland reveries for us!

Bungee cords are thick elastic...um....cords, really, like wot peeps go bungee jumping with, but thinner and with hooks to attach they to fings. Lakeland addiction must be inherited - dd1 now wants some bungee cords to use with her school bag.

notthecod · 27/08/2004 17:31

ks for the last time its wiltshire!
