Aggghhh Help me find a large plastic lizard for DS Quick!

DS has (had) a plastic lizard. It was bright green, very detailed and lifelike with a red chest about 30cm long. He loved it to death. Probably is most favourite toy.

Anyway last night I discovered the dog as chewed it up into tiny pieces. DS is devastated.

He made me promise to find him a new one today but the shops round here have nothing similar.

So can you help. I've looked on ebay but nothing suitable. It has to look real - not some soft toy or anything. Help!

Early Learning Centre? The Natural Store? The Natural History Museum shop?

Katymac · 15/06/2007 12:42

here?

not the same but nice?

allmytimeonmumsnet · 15/06/2007 12:43

There is nothing on the ELC site although it is the sort of thing they do. Have just checked the "remains" and it says its an iguana. Will search for the other 2 shops thanks

Anything like it on here we could try to find in the UK?

Lakota · 15/06/2007 12:52

Hi

This company in the States does realistic toys and says it will send to the Uk if you email them to sort something out (see shipping section).

naturepavilion.com/snakeslizards.htm

Any good?

allmytimeonmumsnet · 15/06/2007 12:53

Toys R Us have quite a good selection of plastic animals etc - try ringing them?

Rhubarb · 15/06/2007 12:54

It won't be on the ELC site but I can guarantee if you phone their shops it'll be one of theirs. They have a stack of realistic plastic animals in a box in all of their shops. Ds has quite a collection of them.

MrsBadger · 15/06/2007 12:58

now there's a German co that do really good lifelike toy animals - remmeber someone posting about their horses once, but I cannopt remember their name. Thought Letterbox stocked them but appears not...

Mrs Badger - I think you are thinking of schleich or bullyland. Have looked at both of those and can't find an inguana.

Its so frustrating that we can find similar items in the states but not here. Seems a bit extreme to get one imported!

Thats it - its the ELC one. They were the first place I thought of but couldn't find it on their site (probably because I looked for lizard instead of iguana

Thanks ever so much. Wonder if I've got time to nip to nearest shop before end of school. Unless anyone knows of any free delivery codes?

Thank-you so much. There will be a happy little boy tonight.

Fab have got an ELC code from the (new?) promotional codes section. £5 off and free delivery so he can have a komodo dragon as well as compensation and it will all only cost me £3! Thanks all
