DD is coming up for 9 months, and Im struggling to carry her in infant car seat so need to get a forward facing one?

I got given a britax one, and it fits in DP's truck fine, but in my Mini it slides everywhere, doesnt stay fitted properly, and frankly, I want to buy a new one.

Ive snooped in other mini's from time to time and seen a lot of maxi cosi's, they seem to work quite well.

Can any one recommend any thing, i need to hurry.

I like the maxi cosi tobi.

You must be strong to be able to carry your dd at 9months! I have given up with my ds this week and have resorted to leaving the seat in the car as he is too heavy!
I have rear facing m and p at mo but we have already bought the forward facing one for when he's ready and because DP is thinking of changing his car opted for one that fits the mini. We went to Halfords and had a really helpful guy talk us through them and he tried a couple in the car which didnt fit properly- apparantly he said its quite common as the mini has curved small seats so he suggested isofix (I told him I didnt have it but he pointed it out to me- Well, I didnt listen to boring bits like this when I bought the car when not with child, I just needed to know how the roof came down!). Anyway, its fits really easily and securely, no messing around with seatbelts etc and is in effect attached to the chassis of the car so its very secure. I think its a britax but DP has stored it somewhere so I cant get to it to check- soz! But I just wanted to recommend Halfords to shop in for seats as they seemed to be very knowledgable!

ahh great, i shall pop to halfords in the morning then!

isofix? thats the clips in back seats isnt it? What about having the seat in the front or is that not the done thing?
