Cranky the Crane

DS is keen to have Cranky the Crane (Brio or ELC) for his 3rd birthday, but it's very expensive at £25. I can't see how it is worth the money - the demonstration models at ELC are always broken, though I guess they get a lot of use. Can anyone enlighten me as to whether it is worth the money? Thanks in advance.

Lunarsea has got one to sell but someone has first refusal on it. Will find thread in a min.

JanH · 24/08/2004 19:31

It's zebra - thread is here . Post your interest in case zebra doesn't want it. (I had never heard of Cranky - is he new?)

Azure · 25/08/2004 09:06

Ohh, thanks for that - I've put in a bid. JanH, Cranky is here . He doesn't feature in the original books, as far as I am aware.

Does anyone else want a Cranky the Crane for the Thomas wooden railway system (as per ELC)? He's still available, but he'll be off to Ebay soon if no-one here is interested.

hoxtonchick · 27/08/2004 11:16

Hello LunarSea, did you get my payment/e-mail for the videos?

LunarSea · 27/08/2004 11:54

hoxtonchick - yes received them ok, have emailed you.

LunarSea · 30/08/2004 10:56

Last chance before he goes to Ebay - does anyone want a Learning Curve (ELC) wooden Cranky the Crane to go with the Thoams Railway system? He's in near perfect condition - just a few tiny paint rubs on the corners of his tower if you look closely. He's currently £25 in ELC - would like £12, plus postage at cost (about £2).

gingernut · 30/08/2004 11:27

Lunarsea, I might well be interested in Cranky. Does he come with any accessories (i.e. trucks with magnetic containers to lift up and down). Was considering a Tesco crane set that comes with lots of accessories but obviously it's not Cranky and ds is a big Thomas fan!

LunarSea · 30/08/2004 11:51

gingernet - he has a truck with magnetic cargo - as per the picture here

gingernut · 30/08/2004 15:03

Yes please then, I'd like to buy Cranky with magnetic cargo at £12 plus postage. Do you want me to send a cheque or would you prefer me to transfer the money electronically?

LunarSea · 30/08/2004 16:32

gingernut, can you email me on gill AT removethisbit.gmx.co.uk (hopefully that's decipherable!) to sort out payment/where to send it to etc.

gingernut · 30/08/2004 22:18

OK, I've e-mailed you LunarSea.
