Hill hold / hill assist

Does anyone else have a manual car with this feature? Does it really work and if not what car do you have? My new car has it, as did my previous car, but on the new one it seems totally unreliable!

My Nissan Qashqai has it and it works. Still prefer the old method with a handbrake hill-start though.

We had a new Honda Civic with the hill hold assist, worked brilliantly. Would definitely recommend the civic, ours was 1.0l petrol, went really well, but apparently the 1.5l is awesome.

I've got it on my Toyota Aygo and I love it!

I don’t live in U.K. so hire cars whenever I come home. (Several times a year) they all have it and I love it.

My mini at home has it too

I have a Seat Mii with hill hold and find you need to be on a fairly steep slope for it to activate. On a gentle incline the car will roll backwards.

It seems to be fairly reliable on most cars then - other than the Seat Mii My mini used to have it and I loved it but on my replacement Audi it is so temperamental and if anything, unlike the Seat, the car rolls back on steeper slopes. I wonder if it can be adjusted as it seems to be a mechanical hold on the brake pedal? Anyone had this done?

My Skoda has it and I love it. Great feature

My old Mazda has it as well that just heals the hand break for 3 or 4 secs.

Both make hill starts easy.
