We've decided to get DD her first proper bike for Christmas. We got her a balance bike 2 years ago which she had zero interest in. When she did finally start to show an interest she'd outgrown it. She does have a tilt and turn scooter which she loves and seems ready for a bike.
I'm somewhat on the fence about the whole stabiliser Vs non stabiliser approach. I understand why they recommend not using stabilisers but that's how I learned, how all my friends learned and there is no evidence of lasting damage to our cycling proficiency.
I've read good reviews on Isla bikes and frog bikes but my thinking is that I should get something a bit cheaper with stabilisers to ensure she is interested and if that goes well invest in a better bike next year?
Welcome any thoughts or suggestions!
