I'm new and wasn't sure where to post this so apologies if this is the wrong place?!

I've been out of the workplace for a long time and I need to brush up on my micro soft word skills and also learn how to use Excel and Powerpoint. I have very limited IT knowledge and would like some recommendations for an inexpensive laptop. I currently just have a chromebook.

Many thanks in advance. :-)

Is there a reason you want a laptop rather than a desktop? I ask because I've used laptops at home for years as I'm self-employed but I seem to break them a lot as they're delicate due to being mobile.

Last time I thought "Why do I need a laptop?" and got a desktop. It was a LOT cheaper but still capable of all I wanted it to do...I use MW and Excel on it.

I'd have a look on WHICH website if I were you and consider a desktop.

Hi Aja and many thanks for your reply. :-)

We don't have room for a desktop unfortunately but I will check on WHICH and see what they recommend.
