I need a new pair - determined to get into shape! I want some that will withstand jogging, walking, etc on both concrete and off-road, and gym classes/treadmills. Price up to about a hundred quid. I was looking at the Nike Air Classics - any good? Any better suggestions? Thanks.

I like Nike Shox but it's a personal thing as some people don't like the bouncyness of them.

I tried a pair of them on, but i didn't get on with them! Thanks for the suggestion though. Anyone else?

I wear Asics. I have two pairs on the go; the newer pair I use for running then as the bounce goes out of them they get get downgraded for aerobics.

I've had others in the past, New Balance and Nike but always come back to Asics.

You really need to try different brands - what works for one person's feet won't work for anothers.

And frankly, if you plan to jog properly, you should go to a specialist running shoe store and get some shoes specifically for running. And again, what will suit you depends on how much you pronate etc etc.

Thank you to everybody for your advice. SM.
