No Door to Door Sales sticker wanted

Gawd, you can tell summer's here. The door-to-door salesmen have come out of hibernation. I've had three in the space of the last half hour and IT'S DOING MY HEAD IN.

I need one of those sticker things that tells them we don't buy on the doorstep but all the ones I've seen a) go in a window (we don't have a window by or in the door) or b) list no free papers - I want them! I also don't mind catalogues pushed through as long as no bugger rings my doorbell!!!

Anyone know where to get them from?

MamaG · 08/06/2007 17:42

PMSL ... very bloody tempted I tell you.

And they always start with "I'm not here to sell you anything"

Yes you bloody are... piss off!

They won't take any notice of them because they always insist that they're "not selling anything" - and they're not; they're there to get your details so that someone else can call and sell to you.

They were giving them away in my local shopping centre today. I can try and get you one when I go up on Sunday, or just write your own note.

I have a "No Cold Caller" sticker the local paper gave out - and I STILL have callers - I said to one guy - "You shouldnt be knocking on my door - Look it says no cold callers" and his reply was "Im not a cold caller Im a hot caller" -

RubberDuck · 08/06/2007 18:22

Ooo fab NAB3 - that would be great. Don't go out of your way though, but if you see one I'd love it.

Yes, I suspect it would get ignored, but I could at least point to it silently and shut the door straight away...

BTW mum said to me last week, if anyone cold calls you as soon as you answer the phone or door ask "are you selling me anything..?" when they answer "NO" then say "thats a shame as I was in the mood to buy something" THEN put phone down/shut door."! LOL..!!!!

Mwah mwah mwah..!!!! .

sarahlou1uk · 08/06/2007 22:24

you local neighbourhood watch person should have some that stick on the door. Failing that, contact your local police station as they should have a neighbourhood watch co-ordinator who can help you.

cancel trying to send me anything.

We cracked open a bottle of wine tonight and in a grumpy old cow mood I managed to find a bespoke sign website and fired off an order (in lovely timeless stainless steel) for a very specific sign.

Very overkill.

Don't care.

Looking forward to receiving it and practising my angry silent point in anticipation.
