We need a new bed. Or do we just need a new mattress? to put on top of our sprung divan base?

The current mattress is knackered and is nearly 10 years old . Anyone got a memory foam one? Did you get a new base? What prices am I looking at?

Sorry so many questions just don't know where to start.

we bought our bed from ikea superkingsize hopen range I think with memory foam mattress and topper, was not cheap but far cheaper than the other options.

Only fault is that it is so big dd sneaks in and we don;t notice and I am always banging my leg.

Don't be my dp was born in our previous bed it had straw sticking out when it finally was evicted

If your divan base is still 'springy' - then just get a new mattress. We have always had Silentnight Miracoil mattressses/bases and have had no problems with these. However, in sales, it is sometimes just as expensive to buy a mattress on its own as a complete bed! If you live near a Makro and have a card, they often have silentnight mattresses for sale. Last time I think they were £99 for a single, £109 for double and £129 for kingsize plus vat.
