Ford S-Max/ people carriers and Isofix compatibility

Just a heads up for people buying a Ford S-Max - we have been for an Isofix car seat today to be told by the retailer (trained to fit car seats) that they can not sell us an isofix base for an S-Max as the car has under floor storage and the leg of the Isofix does not fit to the floor of the car and only to the piece of flooring which is loose and can be lifted up............which means it would not be fitted safely.

We have taken our S-Max and arranged for the under floor storage to be filled (approx £76 + vat) as we were advised this is the only way an Isofix can be fitted safely.

So just wanted to advise other S-Max drivers/people carrier drivers to check for under floor storage and that Isofix is compatible and safe.

Isofix would of been fine with a tether rather than a leg
