My dd will be growing out of her bouncy chair soon. She sleeps very well in - and doesn't go in her cot during the day. What should I do for her naps? Can you get a chair / bed that over 6 months can go in?

i guess it only says no as it doesn't have a proper mattress, just a thin felt base but ds2 sleeps in it for short periods

Baby Bjorn do a chair up to 2 years, we have one, dd2 loved it.

ds napped in his fisherprice vibrating aquarium bouncy chair until it snapped from metal fatigue when he was about 19m and 12kilos.

[kneels and worships before the magic chair without which there was NO PEACE for a whole year]

i know not everyone agrees with this but when or ds grew out of his chair we let him nap in his pram. Its what they do in his nursery anyway.

thanks marne - just had a look on e-bay for one! £65 is a bit steep methinks.

personally id start putting in cot for day time naps

bizziebee · 05/06/2007 21:39

she goes to nursery 3 days a week - and i like her sleeping in the baby room rather than in the cot room.

My dd sleeps on the sofa during the day, or failing that, I have a round beanbag which she also sleeps on. She is 9 months now and I still use the bouncy chair every now and again but she has worked out how to 'bounce' herself out!

what about a sheeps wool rug on the floor? my ds loves his - always has his power naps on his rug
