Help! Useful shops in/near New Quay, Ceredigion?

OK, so I have deduced from Yell.com that there's no Mothercare closer than Carmarthen and no big supermarket closer than Cardigan. New Quay itself seems to have a fishmonger, greengrocer, ironmonger, pharmacy and a couple of Spar-types but that's about it.

So
where can my newly-arrived expat mate (baby due end of June), staying in a borrowed cottage in New Quay, go to buy vests, sleepsuits, moses basket etc?

As a confirmed urbanite I have no idea how one goes about these things in rural areas.
Does one have to drive to Swansea?
She has no internet access, although I have given her Argos and Mothercare catalogues so I guess she could order by phone.

Anyone local or local-ish care to shed light on the matter?

I am in Swansea so don't get out west much, but I would think Haverfordwest and Pembroke/Milford Haven might have baby shops, they might not be big chains though.
Phone orders would be best bet while she gets to know the area though.
Where is she arriving? and how is she getting there? She might be going past somewhere useful...

MrsBadger - found you from the wales meet up thread. Don't think any of us are from any further west than Swansea, but bumping for you anyway.

Personally, I'd suggest to her that she takes a drive to Swansea to the Mothercare or Babies R Us and stocks up on everything in one go, then keeps a few catalogues for extra things that come up. Or she could ask her friends (and who better at shopping than you?) to internet order bits and bobs on her behalf if and when she needs them and have them delivered straight to her.

Sorry not to be of more help - out of interest though are you based near Leeds? your name reminds me of someone

Ha Ha, i may help!! Aberystwyth isn't THAT far away and there she will find me and my lovely shops (Little Jack Hporner)! We are a comprehensive baby shop in the town and the only one of its size between Bangor and Haverfordwest!

There is also:
Matildas in Cardigan
Little Jems in Newcastle Emlyn
Mothercare is carmarthen is not worth bothering with as its tiny, tell her to take a trip to sunny aber and i'll get her sorted out!!!!

Obviously that was Horner!

Thanks for the responses, people.

Heard from her yesterday - she's there already but has apparently been given the moses basket and some other bits by her DH's Myngu, who is Local and seems to have taken over a bit, so she's in capable if elderly hands.
I'll certainly offer to act as an online shopper though...

(I'm in Oxon, not Leeds, btw)
