We are trying to get a bike for 5 yr old DD birthday. Have seen two 16" raleigh ones on Argos - Roxy and Superstar - has anyone seen these, are they ok? I've also looked at some in Toys R us - but somehow felt it might be better to go for Raleigh. Any experience bike buyers tips??

you need to get her to sit on them I think (can she ride a bike yet or will she need stabilisers)

it is all a matter of the frame and her arm length in terms of ease of riding

also wheel size depends on how tall they are (there is a chart at decathlon you can check them against)

they do pretty decent bikes in Decathlon and Halfords

thanks. Decathlon seem to be for slightly older kids and although the halfords selection online is good, our local store only had one or two! Any other thoughts?

we've got a raleigh, and although its a good bike its never really fitted our dd. Younger dd has an isla bike www.islabikes.co.uk and its a bit more expensive but fab.
