Problem with car repair

Does any one know what to do if you are not happy with a garage?
DH took the car (VW Jetta turbo diesel) to a local garage to be fixed.
It had an engine fault code for a turbo problem. He had already been told by a neighnour who is a mechanic that the dpf was fine and not clogged.
The garage said the turbo needed to be sent away as a part was cracked. After five days they rang saying it wasnt the turbo it was the dpf and other pipes that were clogged and neaded cleaning. After another few days they rang saying it was the turbo after all and they needed to send it to be refurbished.
DH got the car back on Monday and an engine warning light came on after a few minutes.
He rang the garage who are having another look later today.
He is also now having a coolant leak.
We have obviously lost faith in this garage but are unsure of the right way to go about things.
Would be grateful for advice.

Update
DH took it back to the garage and one of the lads didn't connect something properly. They are fixing it tomorrow so fingers crossed, all is well.
