The one I have is wooden - but has little metal sticky out bits which hook into the fastener on the wall

I want one with no metal sticky out bits - as I nearly had 3 children smash themselves into mine this last week

It stopped my dd falling down the stairs so is retty strong but maybe not good for being outside.

is not flimsy imo i have 2. and it is a git to open for older ones.
