dd use to love trains and we had a tesco track, that fitted the thomas trains.
Now my nephew 18 months is getting really into train. He has got some of his fathers early brio track and two brio trains.
The question is where do you get cheap track as I see tesco no longer sells the wooden track.

Ikea's fits

MrsBadger · 03/06/2007 14:51

ikea?
needs a bit of, er, force to go together properly with the brio stuff though.

I got some from this site jesters.com/ but tbh ebay is the best for buying big lots of wooden track - especially if you can do local pick up. The ikea stuff looks right but doesn't fit. I've also had some track from sainsburys that works too.

Good luck - it's our DS's favourite too

thanks for all that, shame about the ikea but then again it's so cheap maybe if worth starting a fresh on the track collection.
Will the brio train fit on the ikea track.

yes the tains fit easy - its just the track that needs a little jiggling sometimes but it does fit - honest - it also has useful plastic connectors that can change the sex of male/female connectors if you get my drift...

ELC track fits with the BRIO track (or at least it used to).
