Car Roof Racks

we're planning to go away and the boot space in our old car isn't big enough for all the clutter.
Does anyone know if we can we hire a roof rack?

Don't really need one permanently, - it will just clutter up otherwise cluttered house..(no garage etc)
Are they easy to fit? we don't have a new car with any fittings on the roof.

Dh has a "battle shell" as the kids call it that fits a small home in it

They cost nearly as much to hire as to buy, unicorn! Have a look here .

We keep ours hanging on the outside of the shed. (We haven't got a garage either.) It gets very grubby but the inside stays clean and dry.
