My last one was rubbish and then broke so I'm looking for something that actually hoovers stuff up as opposed to just tickles it.

TIA

Yes, I'm looking for one too. I've got a Black & Decker Dustbuster which is not very satisfactory. DS1 loves using it though.

Got a B&D thing too never gets used, just left in the cupboard and use it to hang the dogs lead on!
Brought a Bissell GO VAC not really hand held but its great for a quick nip around the lounge and will suck up bread crumbs and crisp crumbs etc.You can easily take it of the handle and use just the vac bit to run over sofas stairs etc but it wont go down the sides of cushions etc as there is no thin nozzle.Bang on for getting pet hairs up too.Charge dont last that long though about 10-12 mins.

Try here if interested
