Buying a Ploom pen, talk me down!!

From a previous thread I learned about Ploom pens and I am getting a bit obsessed (dreaming up barrel colour vs ink colour combinations etc!).
I absolutely do not need another fountain pen. But I want one!!

But that's not enough, right? I must wait until I NEED one. I dropped hints for my birthday but to no avail. Christmas isn't far away, is it??

I have the lime green one. It's a thing of beauty and is so pleasingly balanced in the hand.

Ooh good to know! One person in a review I read said the bump/lip between the barrel and the coloured part is too big and makes your finger sore - have you found that a problem?
