Bunk beds - realistically how much will I need to pay to get sturdy ones?

They seem to cost anything from under £100 (IKEA) to several hundred pounds. And are the metal ones sturdier than wood? Can anyone recommend a place to buy them?

NKF I bought some recently, very sturdy, at a local bed shop. They were £199, on a par with Argos and the only reason I bought them there was a) because I wanted to support local business but not at a cost to my pocket and b) because they delivered that day. I upgraded the mattresses so it took it to about £230 and I would recommend you don't buy the cheapest mattresses, they really are crap. The metal ones are no sturdier than the wood. But anyway, had that shop not existed, I would probably have gone for the Argos, which look totally adequate.

BTW I have just thrown out an IKEA bed because DD has broken it due to using it as a trampoline. OK I know it's not designed to be used as a trampoline, but I'm still not very impressed...

IKEA is terrible though I know it has its fans so ducking down now. I've never thought of Argos for furniture. I'll take a look.
