Prams/Carseats that fit in a Mini???

Hello MNers, my first thread I'm hoping somebody can help. Sorry another pram topic....

Expecting first child Aug07 - have a Mini One soft top which expecting to keep for another year or so. So a pram that's suitable for a newborn that will fit into the car (easily, I'll not be bothered to keep taking off wheels etc) is main constraint at the moment.

The other things on my wish list are:

  1. Rear & forward facing options
  2. Adjustable positions with lay flat option
  3. Can fix carseat on frame
  4. Reasonably sized basket

Does anybody know of anything that ticks all boxes (what else i should be thinking about?) Have looked at M&P Luna (but seen misdee's comments on prev thread) & Aria, Quinny Zapp, they fit some but not all. Seen bugaboo bringing out a compact version 'bee' but not 'til last quarter 07 in UK and no info on dimensions etc. Pretty much all walking will be on-road.

Many thanks in advance for any advice received

Does the Bugaboo not fit?

bebeconfort Loola?

Thanks Ceolas, not seen a bugaboo 'in person' yet, off next w/end to start look at more things not just on web. Not sure if a Loola definitely fits, have just been to look up, but it seemed to have quite a few bad reviews - difficult to handle/shopping basket etc? Anybody love it?

Mamas and papas have just brought out the Luna pushchair. One of their selling points is that it fits easily into the boot of a mini. They are very funky too!

I've got a Bugaboo Frog and it fits perfectly in my Mini One with both back seats down. Think the Cameleon and Gecko are same size. A Bugaboo would tick all your boxes except perhaps the basket, which is not huge, but I've always managed with shopping bags hanging off bag clips on the frame.

Maxi Cosi Cabrio fits in passenger seat of Mini One, but then so do most other baby car seats. Maxi Cosi is compatible with Bugaboo, you have to buy special adaptors but once you've got those the car seat just clips onto the chassis.

One thing to watch is whether you have the passenger airbag switched on. You will need to get it switched off, which is easy if you have the model with an on/off switch, but if like me you don't, you have to get this done in a garage.

I thought Chameleon was bigger than frog and gecko smaller, I saw a gecko the other day and it looked titchy compared to my frog. Chameleon has adjustable handle, which might make it easier to fit in your boot than a frog, but not sure how far it folds down.

Thanks for all comments! Just been pram viewing and found that could not get the Loola into boot (too long). Phil & Teds sport is more squat and fits boot if back wheels taken off/will sit behind passenger seat with wheels on (but couldnt fit a car seat next to it/dont think there is a car seat that clips onto the pram chassis). The Luna is easiest fit so far, but no lie flat rear-facing option. Didn't realise quite how much room car seats take up when rear facing tho - if put it in back seat there is no legroom for a front passenger... We didn't properly try any of the Bugaboos as the assistant said there was no way they would fit (hadn't logged in since Weds so hadnt seen TF's post), tho guess if have to put both back seats down, for the times when there's 2 adults, no room for car seat!

Sooo complicated...on the way home went to get a trade-in price for the mini in case comes to selling it...
