I have a strange request for ideas on a new perfume

I like musky spicy smells$,that have a sort of dryness to them,hard to explain really, all I can liken it too is the smell that comes from pipes, but with a slight sweetness. See told you it was strange.

Anyone remember tobacco from Body shop?

Anything Jo Malone in this category? I so wish I could get into the centre of London.

i have sarah jessica parkers lovely an it has a musky floral smell, i also love kenzo have got amour and flowers, but as suggested these both flowery, i also have ted bakers second skin an that is musky but sweet! good luck in your hunt go superdrug there smells are quite cheap, or boots but only if they got offers on they good for trying new smells

That reminds me of 'tribe' from the 80's...complete man magnet for some reason and it was only about £3.99!

Ooh yes Binkie - do you remember Musk by Jovan. Well hahahh you can still get it in Boots Melsy and that may be just what you are after.

Thats not the white musk is it ? Or is it a retro re introduction of something different ? Im trying to remember tribe , I used to wear body shops chypre and musk oil mixed together.

lol Ive been on the hunt for this kind of smell for YEARS !!! I have a candle in my lounge thats just the smell I want. Id love to be able to have mixed my own perfume !!!

No white musk is HORRID - no this is full on old fashioned fanny-tastic dark musk. Go and try some they always have testers, it's pretty cheap too.

Tribe was in a dark purple bottle with a green lid - in the same kind of vein as exclamation or so...? ie one step up from Impulse and very cheap and cheerful but for some reason, it used to drive my boyf crackers and blokes always commented on it...god knows what was in it!

hmmmmm that sounds good , didnt even think to check there. Was looking at some pishy poshy lux thing to even get near a different kind of smell. I used to wear Halston & my mums cinnebar!

this isn't going to be completely helpful, but there are some companies knocking around on the internet where you can make up your own perfume. Perhaps they could come up with something?

Have you smellt the Hermes perfumes? I find them quite tobacco-y/ woody / musky.

Body Shop do a sandalwood perume you might like.
Jo Malone ones tend to be a bit more fruity.
