BORING I know, but can you paint patios with masonry paint?

I've got horrible grey concretey crazy paving slabs going down the side of the back of my house down to the garden. The other path up the garden is red brick and looks really nice so I want to liven up the patio and back path bit too.
Can you use masonry paint like this to paint on top of concrete? Has anyone done it? Does it / will it look really naff? (BTW can't afford to have the thing dug up and re-done)
