What are these blankets for?

I've been given a couple of these type of blanket things with a little triangle pocket in the corner and I love them, they have such cute designs, but I don't know what they're for!

My partner is wondering if they're towels because they have a little hood like baby towels do but they're not made out of that material so I'm not sure

There to wrap baby up we have some for the bath made of the towelling fabric it's like a snuggle wrap.

I’ve got a fleece with one, I assumed it was a hood, like the hooded towels.

They’re blankets, you just pop the hood bit over the head then fold the other corners over to cover your baby.

Useful for the pram on a cold day.
