I haven't yet got my licence but it is imminent. I'm quite old to be starting (38) but I'm overcoming my phobia because I have two small children that need to be able to go out and about!
I'm really not financially well off so I'm looking at a small cheap second hand car as a starter. To be honest I'll probably be a while before I take my kids in it anyway.
I've found one round the corner from me that's 250 and got mot until December.
I'm a total novice. Is this too good to be true? It's only a little 3 door from 1998 but I'm not likely to be going far at any point. The insurance quote is obviously great. Any tips from anyone? Would I be setting up to have a car that won't go or is the mot a good sign?
