Pulsar/Qashqai or Honda CRV?

Just that really, which would you choose? If we go for the Qashqai or Honda, they’ll be 6/7 year old with 60-70,000 miles on them. Pulsar would be younger with less miles but approx a grand more price wise. Interested to hear from owners to get your thoughts. Thanks!

what is your price range and do you want diesel or petrol?

No more than £7500 ideally, and have never had a diesel so probably petrol. My mechanic did advise one over the other in relation to the Qashqai, but I need to phone him to find out which one! Not averse to diesel. We only do around 8000 miles per year and mostly short journeys, max we’d do at weekend would be a 150 mile round trip.

my advice is to avoid diesel unless your doing 20,000 miles a year - the fuel saving of having a diesel will be wiped away by the cost of maintaining a diesel and inevitable repairs not to mention a diesel will lose its value a lot faster.

For £7,500 I would look at a used Toyota Auris, it will be ultra reliable provided it has full service history.
You may also find a 3-4 year old Suzuki X-Cross for that kind of money.

A CRV. They are much more solid.

Our Qashqai just feels flimsy.

CRV definitely. A couple of friends have Qashqais and have been disappointed.

Honda CRV is excellent but at this price range it will be considerably older than a Qashqai

I would get another Qashqai but not a 1.6 petrol.

Love my qashqai it doesnt feel flimsy to me at all and I've had a freelander.
