Does anyone have one of these? Considering buying a 2011 one with low mileage but wondering if we should spend the money on something newer instead...? It is advertised for £9k.
I know NOTHING about cars!! Would love any help please.

£9000 for a 7 year old car is alot of money, your essentially paying for the badge and image as the 3 series estate is no better and quite possibly less reliable than a newer toyota avensis estate, honda civic estate or ford mondeo estate.

Thanks for replying!
Yeah I agree it seems a lot for an old car... my issue is that we do very long journeys and we want a nice interior as we spend so much times the car... BMWs seem to often have nice leather seats etc etc.

I have one. To be honest there seems to be constant issues with it! I'd be careful as depending on the year, there are issues with the timing belt, so if it goes it writes off the engine.

Mine is a 58 plate, i'd prob only get £4000 tops for it so £9000 seems really high.
It's a nice car, but costs a fortune in maintenance costs. The boot is also very small for an estate car. When I sell it I won't be buying another!

Thanks for the reply - out of interest what will you replace it with potentially?

take a look at a Honda Civic tourer - nice interior

for something bigger but less reliable, take a look at a skoda superb estate, lots of rear space

I have one and love it.

It's not too long so good for parallel parking and find the boot space good. It is also easy to drive and manouevre. I would buy it again.

I have one and I love it. I bought ours last year for £8k with low mileage, also 2011. It is very, very good for long journeys. The boot size is good. It drives well and feels solid. This model has had quite a few recalls which are annoying but hey ho. Overall I would buy it again
