Have seen these and really fancy one. Think they work a bit like a slide show on your PC, you just out the pictures onto a memory card that slots into the frame.

Check the memory size of the frame as they determines how many photos it will hold.

Wotzsaname · 20/05/2007 21:36

when fathers day?

Hulababy · 20/05/2007 21:36

June 17th I think

AuntyQuated · 20/05/2007 21:38

DH and I were looking at these whilst we were shopping for a camcorder yesterday.

DH's words - "Total rip off!"

AuntyQuated · 20/05/2007 21:43

Sparkler1 · 20/05/2007 21:43

Can't remember exactly - just asked dh and he said about £60

Budababe · 20/05/2007 21:44

DH ought me one for Xmas. Love it - was poised to stop using digital camera as photos just ended up on computer.

DH just download about 10 phots and they rotate. Ours comes on at 3 and goes off at 11pm -just because DH set it up like that. Will change when i get the hang of it!

AuntyQuated · 20/05/2007 21:45

that is exactly why i was thinking of one bb

i don't like them. they remind me of those nasty moving picture things of waterfalls and sunsets where the colours move so it's like you're looking through a window or something. awful. i much prefer having favourite pictures in proper frames.

dh however, thinks they're fab.

AuntyQuated · 20/05/2007 21:52

will they take more than 10 pics?

OP posts:
Wotzsaname · 20/05/2007 21:55

type in digital photo frame on the currys web site there are loads in there ATM

AuntyQuated · 20/05/2007 22:14

been looking at amazon too. well readiing the reviews...always off putting!

I was looking at them in PC World yesterday- having hankered after one for a couple of years. Unless you use then on something and near a plug, I'd suggest looking at wireless ones (but double the cost)

Hulababy · 20/05/2007 22:19

AQ - the one linked to will show more tan 10 photos definitely. It all depends on what size memry card you buy or have. So a 1gig memory card will show loads more than that - a couple of hundred maybe, or even more depending on size of photos taken.

MrsWho · 20/05/2007 22:36

I'm eyeing them up for my Mam for christmas.

accessorizewithbabysick · 21/05/2007 08:24

Was in Asda yesterday, they were doing them for £50. Not sure about the memory though, but that's the cheapest I've seen.

Flamesparrow · 21/05/2007 08:25

I love em - got a feeling Cantsleepwontsleep has one

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/05/2007 08:49

Yes, I have this one . Dh got it for me (free with his Amex points!) for Christmas, and set it all up, but he said it was quite easy.

JARM · 21/05/2007 08:58

We got one for my Gran for christmas.

We load photos on to a memory card, send her the card, she loads it and watches pics of the girls to her hearts content.

We have 2 cards, one she has, and one for putting new pics on, we send one, she sends the other back. Not bad for an 82yr old!

She loves it, is the envy of all her friends, and she can see the girls grow without missing too much

They live over 600 miles away and have only met Jessica 3 times, and never Rebecca.
