I'm changing my car in a cpl of months and I like the look of the new megane, all the write ups I've read/heard have been good. Safety-wise they look excellent and the interiors are nice (much more so than the Peugeot 307).

Is there anything I should know or are you 100% happy with yours ?

Yes, we've got one.

We've got a 5dr 1.6 Megane Oasis. They had an offer on when we bought it (Oct 05) so had a lot of extras free. Not bad on car tax, and get on average 38mpg.

Servicing costs at a Renault dealership are quite high (eg - compared to Ford)

Dh is 6'4, and I'm 5'8 and both find it comfortable to drive. Both the ds car seats fit fine, but if all 4 of us go out, ds2 infant carrier has to go in the front passenger seat, as dh knees are up around his neck!

They are lovely we have had a big bum car, was missed by all when it had to go back.

Very safe, interiors great and funtions on steering wheel are bliss.

Go and have a good look at some.

Thanks for these replies

I drive a ford at the mo and am very happy with it, but it is time for a change. I expected the servicing/parts etc to be more expensive than ford anyway. I suspect the interior space is very similar to that of my Focus, therefore I have no qualms about fitting the family in (3 kids).

I think I'll go and have test drive or two.
