I've got loads of copied misic cds that I need to get rid of. Obviously I can't sell them through ebay, but I don't want to just throw them away because that would be really wastful. Is it legal to sell them at a carboot sale? Can you think of any other way I can get rid of them, or should i just chuck them?
None of my friends want them btw.

what are they?

Nbg · 19/05/2007 10:43

Have you copied the music on to an MP3 player or something?

You could sell them at a carboot but it is illegal as far as I know.

No, they're on cds. Thay are ones that friends have copied for me in the past, but I'm moving abroad and need to get rid of EVERYTHING, but I'm trying not to be too wasteful. Lots of different ones (madonnna, kylie, keane, katie melua...)

If none of your friends want them, and it is illegal to sell them (which is is), then your only option is to chuck them.

Sorry

bewilderbeast · 19/05/2007 10:56

use them as coasters or make bird scarers out of them

Nbg · 19/05/2007 10:57

Leave them for the people who are moving into your place.

We have hundreds here and my plan is to just put them in a box under the bed

You never know if your MP3 player/computer might blow up or something and your backup might go pearshaped

So I keep them in case

could you donate them?
My ds's school are always asking for old CD's for the kids PE and dance classes.

I'll have a go at donating them then, before binning them. Thanks for the replies
