Buy one get one free. Irresistible but every common sense fibre of my being tells me they must be crap. I know nothing about bikes. Does anyone else?

The only thing I would be wary of it their returns policy - check it out frst to make sure all is ok.

I bought an electric scooter for DD from them, via their ebay shop. It was faulty. However in order to have it repaired or replaced I would have had to pay for and rearrange myself posting it back, and then only when they had checked it with their own team would they look at reimbursing me and repairing it. Was such a pain that we ended up getting DH's grandad to repair it for us - only trouble is even now it only goes forwards and not reverse!

However their delivery times were good and there were no problems over delivery or payment.

Having seen that offer though I am VERY tempted myself for me and DH!

I've bought bikes from there before- for my kids twice and once for me. They've all been clunky but perfectly serviceable. I freecycled my ladies shopper from there after about 5 years when I wanted something lighter and faster and it was still going strong and had never broken down. I think they are as good as somewhere like Halfords or Argos, say. If you don't mind heavy non-branded bikes and are after something that will get you about and is cheap as chips I think they'll be fine.

That's about what I'm looking for.
Messing about on cycle paths and in parks with small children.
