Bath stickers (non-slip)

Hi, does anyone use bath stickers rather than a bath mat to bathe their lo's? We use oilatum for ds' bath and the bath mat we have doesn't stick down every bath (despite washing) nor does it stick on the 'fuzzy' section that came with the bath towards the plug area. Are they removeable?

If you can recommend them where did you get yours from?

Many thanks

Hi karen, I would recommend them . We got ours at ASDA I think (the 'safety 1st' ones), I do think they would remove without trace if I tried, but couldn't guarantee it as I haven't tried and probably never will! There are clear ones which aren't unsightly at all and they clean and last well (the clear and coloured). (Even my elderly grandparents have gone out and got some following a stay at our home!) DD hasn't slipped once since we put them in, and at 37 weeks pg, I'm finding they provide a bit of reassurance too .

I had some, I got them from a mail order company but can't remember which one. They did their job very well but started coming off after a couple of years, they did not leave any traces on the bath. HTH

I got the mothercare ones; prob more expensive than other places, but I had a voucher anyway. They're fine; the hardest part was arranging them in an attractive pattern! Not sure if they'll come off, but they're hiding the discoloured part of the bath, so who cares!!

Thanks all for the replies. Think we'll invest!

I too am looking for these stickers. The ones in Mothercare appear to be like mini bath mats (which in my opinion need cleaning too regularly!). Does anyone know where to get the self-adhesive ones?

BooMama · 07/09/2004 07:50

Used the self adhesive ones a long time ago (got them from a catalogue - I think Urchin - but they seem to have stopped them now). However, whenever I had a bath at a grown up temperature it seemed to melt the sticky and they came off rather quickly (within weeks).
Now use the pads with suckers - I think they're from Safety 1st. They're blue/green and in the shape of whales and starfish. They're the 2nd lot we've had as we never cleaned the 1st and they got rather manky underneath. So now we remove them after each bath, give them a shake to dry and they've been fine. The only problem is my dd is now old enough to peel them off whilst in the bath!

i have an ikea bath mat (think it was £1) which sticks really well to the bath. we also use oilatum and have a corner bath so is a bit of an odd shape.

Betterware do the stickers - dolphin shaped - currently priced at £3.99

If anyone is interested and doesn't know a rep the phone order line is : 0845 121 0110 or order online at Betterware

I dont know what the postage costs are, though they probably deliver via a local rep anyway.
